JKL recruits Erik Zsiga

Carl Bildt’s former press secretary, Erik Zsiga, will join JKL as a senior consultant. Mr Zsiga’s work areas will include corporate reputation, media relations and public affairs, with a particular focus on developing JKL’s offer of strategic communication counsel for executive management.

Erik Zsiga comes most recently from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, where he served as former Foreign Minister Carl Bildt’s press secretary and spokesperson. He previously worked as global head of media relations at Electrolux and as a writer and commentator for Timbro and Svenska Dagbladet. He has also authored two books: Popvänstern (2004) and Hejdå Östeuropa! (2007).

”JKL operates at the intersection of business, politics and the media. Erik Zsiga has a strong background in all of these areas, on both the national and international levels, and his broad-based expertise will be a valuable addition to JKL’s offer in several areas,” says Maria Grimberg, CEO of JKL Group. “With his experience as senior communication advisor to the executive management of a global consumer company and to a world-class innovator such as Mr. Bildt in the strategic use of modern communication channels in leadership, Erik will bring a unique perspective to developing JKL’s strategic communication counsel for executive management.”

”In many ways, JKL epitomises what I’m passionate about as a communicator: the intelligent use of strong communication as a key management component, achieved by strengthening business advantage, building brands and navigating in a changeable media environment and a changeable society. I’m looking forward to working with talented colleagues to continue developing JKL’s offer, and to applying my experience from Swedish and international business and politics to offer new perspectives to clients and colleagues,” says Mr Zsiga.

Erik Zsiga will join JKL in the autumn.
